The idea
A ride is three precise things
On ISAR TAXI, a ride is unique: it combines an exact pick-up point, an exact destination and an exact departure time. Two people who share all three can travel together.
Ride = pick-up + destination + departure time
A pick-up point
You pick your city, then the district you are leaving from.
A destination
You name the district you want to reach.
A departure time
You pick a slot, offered every 30 minutes throughout the day.
How it works

Search for your ride
Choose your city, your departure district, your destination and your time slot, then list the matching rides.

Join it, or start it
If the ride already exists, you join it. If it does not, you start it — and that costs you nothing.

The group fills up
As soon as the quota is reached, the ride closes automatically: nobody else can be added.

Meet up and go
You meet at the pick-up point, you take one vehicle, and the fare is split between you.
What it costs
The price is simple, and it is stated upfront
We take no commission on your fare: you pay the driver directly, as you always have. ISAR TAXI only charges for the introduction.

Joining a ride
100 FCFA
The ride already exists and you join it. Fixed amount, stated before any payment.
The amount paid to join a ride is non-refundable, including if the ride never reaches its quota. The route's historical fill rate is shown to you before you pay.
Safety
You never travel without a safety net
Sharing a ride with people you do not know calls for guarantees. They are built into the product, not bolted on afterwards.
Two trusted numbers
When you sign up, you register two trusted phone numbers. They are alerted automatically if anything goes wrong during a ride.
An alert button
Active for the whole duration of the ride. One press, and both your trusted numbers receive a message immediately.
Tracked, shareable route
Your ride is tracked all the way to the destination, and you can share it live with someone close to you.
Unusual stop detection
If the ride stays still for too long before arrival, it switches to alert and your trusted numbers are notified.
